At Christmas, we celebrate the beginning of the fulfilment of God’s promise. How loved we are! How merciful and gracious is our God to us! Jesus, our Creator in heaven with the Father and Spirit, laid aside his glory and humbled Himself to be confined to a human body. He was destined to be the “Bread of Life”, born in Bethlehem, also called the “House of Bread”, and laid in a feeding trough in the barn when he was born. God lived among us, eating our food, living in our houses, wearing our clothes, and living a perfect, righteous life, praying to communicate with His heavenly Father. Jesus, the son of God, came to serve and to save us! Blessed be Emmanuel, our Savior and Lord! Bow your knee and heart to worship during this special time of remembrance!
This Sunday is Christmas Eve! We hope that you’ll make time to worship with your family, joining our church family as we celebrate the birth and death of Jesus during this very holy season. We’ll worship together as a part of the body of Christ. We’ll sing praise, we’ll read and explain the Word of God, we’ll give a special Christmas offering at the manger. We have families and babies to dedicate to the Lord, just as Joseph and Mary came to dedicate Jesus at the temple. Then, we’ll share in a time of communion, with bread and juice, remembering the death of Christ for our salvation. We’ll rejoice in the grace and peace of God given to us through the manger and the cross!
We’ll be keeping things simple this Sunday. Breakfast will be limited to coffee and pastries. There will be no fellowship meal or 8:45 Bible Study. The children will be in the service with us, though a nursery for the youngest will be provided. The worship service will begin at 10:00 a.m., but arrive early to find your seat. You don’t want to miss a singe minute of this worship service!
See you Sunday!
Jesus is Awesome!
