Seldom in history has there been a more urgent need for heroes of strong righteous character for our young men and women than today. We live in a time of great immortality, wickedness, injustice, oppression, and greed, a time when few individuals step up to take a stand for justice and righteousness. Daniel was born into a day like ours, an age of terrible immorality, lawlessness, and violence when there was little justice or righteousness on earth. Yet he rose above it.  Despite the temptations and the enticements of a vastly different culture, Daniel stood strong for the Lord, even in the face of scheming, hatred, and certain death penalties. This Sunday we will be looking atKnowing a Powerful God. Daniel could stand strong because he knew his God.

We’ve got some great opportunities for you to be a part of community outreach during the days of fall.  The Fall Food Drive to stock the food pantry, Trunk or Treat, October 31, to share Jesus with the community children and families through candy and games, andFriend Day, November 4, a special day to bring a friend!  Get involved in meaningful, fulfilling service for the Lord.

For our fellowship meal after church, we’ll have roasted herbed chicken with fried rice and vegetables.  Please bring your favorite dish to share with our guests and the CCW family.  What you bring adds such variety to our meal.  Thank you for pitching in and helping with the set up of the tables and chairs, the serving of the food or the clean up. Many hands make light work!
