Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What group should my child(ren) be registered for?

  • Puggles (ages 2 - 3 yr old)
  • Cubbies (ages 3 - 4 yr old)
  • Sparks (ages K5 - 2nd Grade)
  • T & T (ages 3rd - 5th Grade)

What does AWANA cost?

Each child(ren) cost has annual dues.

  1. If your child(ren) are starting AWANA for the 1st time, he/she will need to purchase the workbook associated with that age group.  There is also an option if you would like them to have the shirt/vest for their specific age group.
  2. If your child(ren) is staying in the same group but finished last years book, you will need to purchase the next book
  3. If your child(ren) is staying in the same group, did not finish their last book but can't find it, you will need to purchase the next book
  4. If your child(ren) is staying in the same group and did not finish their last book, you DO NOT need to purchase a new book at this time.  However if they complete that book and are moving to another book, you will need to purchase at that time

Do my child(ren) need a shirt or vest?

No this is not required however by having the shirt or vest (depending on the age group) your child(ren) earn points toward the AWANA store to be able to earn different things.

If you do choose to purchase a shirt or vest, make sure to order a size larger than normal to give them room to grow into and it will last you longer!

When will my child(ren) receive the items purchased?

Handbooks and uniforms usually come within 1 week after we place the order.  They will not be handed out until the clubber has completed the entrance booklet for their group as required by AWANA.  If your child(ren) is starting their second or beyond year of their group, they will be given the items upon arrival.

What are my options for payment for AWANA?

You can pay online at checkout of registration completion for your child(ren) or you can write a check to the Church at Chelsea-Westover and list in the notes AWANA and give to the check in attendents on a Wednesday evening.

If for some reason you may need scholarship funds to help pay for your child(ren), please email us at children@thechurchatcw.com and we will get in touch with you on how this works.

If you Volunteer to help with AWANA, there is no fee for your child(ren)
